THE COAST WITH A GLOBAL OUTREACH

The East Coast region of Peninsular Malaysia is known for its abundance of fossil fuel. Concerted efforts to develop the oil-rich region include having a well-developed infrastructure with strong support services. Under the ECER, seven key development nodes have been identified in the region. Strategic development projects have been implemented to transform the social economic landscape of the nodes into one that is largely based on productivity and expertise. By 2025, it is expected that there will be 120,000 new jobs and 60,000 new entrepreneurs that will emerge from the ECER initiatives.

STAYING CONNECTED THROUGH
LAND, AIR AND SEA

Time is a precious commodity. At KTIP, we have all three elements of transportation covered to make your business operations seamless, while keeping costs low. Given that 90% of the world’s international trade is done by sea, Malaysia’s geographic location makes it the gateway of major shipping routes. Malaysia’s ports handle almost as many containers as the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam combined.

ECRL

ECRL (East Coast Rail Link) connects major towns in the East Coast and improves connectivity to the West Coast, passing through Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Putrajaya, and Selangor. The link originates at Kota Bahru (Kelantan) and will terminate at Port Klang (Selangor). Passenger trains from Kota Bahru to Kuala Lumpur will take about 4 hours. From the Putrajaya Sentral station, passengers can interchange to KLIA and KLIA2 airports via Express Rail Link (ERL) thus, making your international travel more convenient.

EXPAND YOUR
BUSINESS CAPACITY

Terengganu’s long standing reputation in the petrochemical industry has made it an important location for Petronas (Malaysia). Foreign entities that have chosen Kertih as its business operation include Arkema Thiochemicals (France), PCC (Germany) in a joint venture with Petronas, and BP (UK) in a non-operated joint venture with Petronas.
